World Diabetes Day (WDD).

The strategic objective for Diabetes as one of the 5 Global Causes of Lions Clubs International (LCI) is to reduce the prevalence of diabetes and improve the quality of life for those diagnosed.

World Diabetes Day (WDD) is commemorated on 14 November each year. WDD was created by the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) and the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1991 in response to growing concerns about the escalating incidence of diabetes around the world.

In Singapore, Diabetes Singapore has been the main organizer of WDD events since 1991. Lions Clubs of District 308-A1 joined the WDD event, as a close partner and supporter of Diabetes Singapore to promote diabetes awareness, prevention and care.

Date: 14 November each year
